There are six separate patents on the use of a laser pointer for playing
with a cat. Laugh if you like, I'm putting the finishing touches on my
patents for pants, beef and television.

I had a Sony Walkman cassette player that had solar cells on one side.
It worked very well.

However I'm sure that Apple invented solar cells on portable devices,
even though Sony sold a product with solar cells 21 years earlier.
