Re: Cingular in Utah?
They don't own any spectrum there, but with Quest looking to possibly
shift all their wireless to Sprint PCS maybe that spectrum will go up
for sale. I know that I had no problem roaming there this month and
last going all way across I-80 and down I-15 from SLC.

Re: Cingular in Utah?
Then WHY do they advertise here? It drives us all crazy! I have
customers and friends asking me all the time, "When is Cingular coming
here?" Everyone wants those rollover minutes.
What's up with no other companies offering rollover anyway? Is it not
cost effective? Too difficult to track?

Rollover minutes is a gimick. If you constantly have rollover minutes
you have a plan with too many minutes and you should instead pick a
plan with less minutes and the plan will cost you less money.
You surely don't think cingular is offering rollover minutes out of
the goodness of their hearts! The companies are in business to make
money. They're trying this strategy to see if it flies. There's a
reason companies put promotional things on their services such as the
AOL IM. It's to encourage you to use a service that they offer.

Re: Cingular in Utah?
You are the victim of national advertising. The Cingular ads that you
see or hear are in a national program whether on the networks or cable.
Cingular also runs local ads in markets where they offer service. It
is cost effective for them to run the national ads even though they
reach markets that do not have Cingular service and frustrate people
like you.
