    I'll be in Calgary, Alberta Canada in a few weeks on a short business trip.

    I have the America's Choice Plan. We are based in Arizona.

    I know all that will be roaming but I wonder what my chances may be that I
    will receive 1) Voicemail 2) e-mail sent to me though the vtext.com service
    or SMS messages..

    Verizon gave me the impression it would be dicey at best...

    I used my TDMA phone in Montreal with all features. everything worked fine.
    $1 per minute!

    What does Verizon have to do with it?

    If you're TDMA you'll probably roam with Rogers/AT&T. If you're GSM
    you'll probably roam on either Microcell or Rogers/AT&T.

    Don't forget that cingular has two very different systems. Unless you
    specify where your home system is or what kind of technology you're
    using the answer can be different.
