Cingular has finally added gsm handsets to the San Antonio Area. Of
Course their prices are sky high and they do require a 2 year contract
=\ i recently switched to t-mobile because I was tired of waiting and
the 3650 I wanted was only 100 after rebates. Does anyone think
Cingulars GPRS data is expensive? I say it's 4.99 for 1mb while
tmobile has 2.99 for 1mb and 9.99 for unlimited data(my best friend
especially when it comes to streaming radio on my phone) Anyone else
have anything to comment about cingular's price structure and plans as
    well?

Does anyone who uses gprs with Cingular think 6.99 is alot? I'm only
say this now that I've gone to T-mobile i get unlimited data for 9.99
for 1mb for 2.99. I've actually Seen some of the data plans for
cingular and some of them get way up there. I don't understand why
Cingular could charge so much for something so little.

Cingular has more GPRS coverage than T-Mobile, and will have even more
by the end of the year....I think that makes up for the additional cost.

How is this? T-Mobile has GPRS on all it's footprint.

when cingular is done with their conversion they will have a much larger
GSM/GPRS footprint than any other carrier ie TMobile or ATT....

Yeah, and someday my prince shall come. In 10 years you can brag
about cingular's GSM coverage. It ain't there yet by any means.
