    Hey group!

Is there a way to interrupt service and not pay $240 termination fee at the
same time not ****ting into own credit history?

P.S. Someone wanna buy a NOKIA 3595 phone with a contract that will expire
    in Aug 2005?

Your second idea may work, but if that person drops the ball you get to
pay up. Even at 21 months they still want to charge the hole amount.
If you are still within your trial period than you have it made- it
    not....

    Three words: Transfer of Service.

If you know someone who needs service, who is willing to take over the
remainder of your contract for $25, call customer service and have them
note your account with that permission and the name of the person. All
the new person has to do is go to a store or call customer service to
    complete the deal.

The reality is this, besides death and military transfer and the
aforementioned ToS, there is no real way to get out of a contract
without paying damages. The damages, BTW, are calculated by months
    completed. On a 2 year agreement for example, 1 month = $240, 2 months =
$230, 3 months = $220, etc. and so on and so forth.

My question to you is this... why did you get the service, just to try
to cancel it? I'm not being a smart ass here, just curious. If there's a
problem with something, call and explain it to customer service and they
may be able to correct the issue, it's the one and only reason they're
    there.

I got the 2 year service thing after being with em for 1 year and having my
old NOKIA 3395. But as i wanted new 3595 model - they said it will be free
for you if you will go for 2 years thing. So i did - now i've moved to new
appt and HELL NO CINGULAR SIGNAL IS INSIDE.

There were no major problems with calls in New York city until blackout, but
now...T-Mobile network which Cingular uses is often busy and i can't place a
call and in addition to this
    CINGULAR STILL CAN'T FIND THE DEPOSIT i PAYED A YEAR AGO - and it's $ 250 -
    and this is MONEY!

So the major problem here is coverage + Customer Service issues.

You get your phone for free with two years contract and you want to SELL IT?
You better make it free or better. Plus, if I am going to a two year
contract, why should I get a used one? A new one is free anyway.
