I have a Nokia 3360 (I think that is it) that has IR access, which I use in
conjunction with the Visor Prism. I use the phone as both a modem (although
it only work where Verizon has network access, for some reason) as well as
just to transfer contact information.
Looking over new phones, none of them seem to indicate they have IR
capabilities. Is this no longer an option, or are there some that have it,
but just dont list it.
I don't think I am planning on trading in phones anytime soon (I like mine)
but I am curious for when I do trade in my phone)

Re: Cell phones with IR?
I found when buying a new laptop a bit ago that few of them offer IR
capability.
Haven't yet, put the phone on the PDA, though. Have been thinking of
getting that going.

Re: Cell phones with IR?
Thanks for the info. Looking on the website for Cingular, they don't
indicate these phones have IR. Is there somewhere that does?

The manufacturer's site is always a good place. If they don't
mention it, no one will know!

Re: Cell phones with IR?
You can always get good info at phonescoop.com. It listed the 6340i IR
capabilities.
