I don't think newer Cingular GSM phones are coming programmed with a *
code any longer. Mine also came with a real number on the "1" key, but
this real number seems unique for it's home market area, which would
send me to my home voicemail system no matter where I was or whose
network I'm roaming on, TDMA or GSM.
