HI, just wondering if anyone can give me some insight into the quality
of Cingular coverage in Memphis and surrounding areas.

I'm currently with Sprint and after 2+ years of ever declining signal
quality and customer service, I'm fed up and looking to make a change.

I've been looking at Tmobile, Cingular, and ATTWS and am just trying to
see what is the best for here.

Also, wondering if I should go with TDMA or GSM around here and what the
    pluses/minuses would be for each.

    Thanks!

I've sprint and my G/F has cingular TDMA and a handful of co workers have
GSM or GAIT phones. I would have to say in town coverage cingular
exceeds sprint however if you travel cingular's nation or regional plans
seemed expensive by comparison ( ~11 months ago when GSM was launching in
    Memphis)

I made a phone call outside of Baptist Hospital on Walnut Grove with my
Sprint phone.. I was roaming!! (you wouldn't call that a "fringe" area
would you? I live within 2 miles of Baptist and could barely make a phone
call inside my home.. I would have to go outside to assure a good
connection..Long story short- I went with Cingular about 3 years ago and
haven't looked back.. I don't care about your fancy phones or free
minutes-just give me a cell phone that works when I need it to...
