I was wondering if anyone new of an email address I could correspond
with cingular to see about getting an upgrade to a T616. I have no desire to
get the typical phone run around, and will either be getting one from them
for free or cancelling my service and taking advantage of another carrier
that is offering one for free (after rebates of course). Any help in this
matter will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: Wanting to upgrade to T616
Also, I found an offer for free T616s through cingular after rebates. Does
anyone know if I can start a new account in the wife's name, or do they
cross reference addresses and names before approving new deals?

Re: Wanting to upgrade to T616
You can upgrade for $149 and get a $100 trade in rebate. $50 after
rebate isnt bad. You cant win 100% and get it absolutely free. No
other companies plans are better, if you pay $50 you'll be happier.

Why would I be happier paying $50 than getting it for free? There is an
online site offering the T616 for free after rebate with cingular, so why
would I want to waltz into a store and wind up $50 in the hole after all the
rebates?

I paid $300 for mine because I was in a pinch.

Re: Wanting to upgrade to T616
I paid $250 for one on ebay plus the $20 or so for the SIM card because
I couldn't extend my contract.

Re: Wanting to upgrade to T616
And to make matters even worse they are offering them for free in the local
Seattle Market.
