I'm thinking about leaving AT&T for Cingular and would like some suggestions
on which phone would be best to use with Cingular's GSM plans. My past
couple phones have been Motorola's but, I am open to which ever phone is
best for the money. So at this point I'm leaning toward the Motorola T720.
PS. There is one thing for sure and that is I'm leaving AT&T. They offered
no incentive to stay with their service what so ever and my contract is over
on the 20th and I have been a subscriber since 2001. On top of that, one of
the AT&T customer service ladies (I use the term loosely) all but called me
a liar when I asked if I could have a $5 credit back on my bill that had
stopped being deducted a few month earlier. All she could say repeatedly
was that I had never received such a credit and I have the monthly bills to
show I did. She couldn't just say her records don't show it. Oh no, she
had to say I never had such a credit repeatedly. I let her know what I
thought of her customer service while being as polite as I could. Never
mind all that now. Just let me know which GSM phone works great with
Cingular. Thanks

Cingular "customer no service" is no better, but in my area the phone
service works well. Just prey you don't have to call customer service.
Anyway, my wife just upgraded to a T720, Good phone, Real clear, my
complaint is that the color display is hard to see in daylight unlike
LCD. Read their rebate forms CARFULLY BEFORE YOU BUY AND LEAVE!!! Most
require the original UPC and you only have one!

Re: Which GSM phone is best for Cingular?
So does anyone have any other suggestions for a GSM phone to use with
Cingular? How are the LG flip phones compared with the Motorola T720? I'm
pretty sure I'd like to stick with a flip phone and am not set to any brand.
I do have a friend here in town who says his T720's audio that he hears is a
little low even turned up all the way. I'm not deaf but, it would be nice
to have plenty of audio coming from the earpiece.

I just got a Samsung S307 and love it. It is a great flip phone and has good
battery life, sound and signal strength. I personally don't like Motorola,
haven't had good reception on any of them. Had a V70 and can honestly say
it was the worst phone I've ever had. Also, the Siemens S56 is an awesome
phone too. But since you prefer flip I definitely recommend the
Samsung...
