Numeric paging and GSM

I am a using a TDMA phone (Nokia 7160) and am dependent on the numeric
paging feature. Will this work if I change my plan over to a nationwide GSM
plan? What telephone number are people using now? This seems like a secret
service provided by Cingular. You can find no info about it on their
wesite.
