silly question about a T610 data cable usb

Will all the programs like SE-Fighter, DIV etc work with a usb data
cable? Someone told me I need the dongle to get these programs to work
with my fone.

The dongle you mentioned ;-) Most sites offering such software, also mention
the type of cable/dongle you need. What you need depends on the type of
software you want to use.
