I recently purchased a P800 second hand which was on Orange but I had
it unlocked.
When I try to register Mobimate's worldmate software, it reports a 17
digit IMEI 14719353900923637 which cannot be edited and is nothing
like my true IMEI.
I also got the same 17 digit number when trying to register the
`Tracker' program so I am convinced it is a P800 hardware problem, not
the software.
I have contacted S.E. and Mobimate but neither of them seem to
understand or can help.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Many Thanks.

Re: Incorrect IMEI number on registration
If I understand well, your P800's IMEI is 2 digits too long. Well that's
normal... Just press *#06# on your phone, copy the first 15 digits and
ignore the last 2 digits of the series and voila, that's the 15 digit IMEI
of your phone!

Re: Incorrect IMEI number on registration
but if it is still completely different, someone has changed it
probably cause it was stolen
