    Dear all.

Remove all branding on your P900 and upgrade it to the latest revision
(R4A04) no matter where you bought your P900 from:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xerodiac/

    Introduction:
Some network operators (Orange, O2, Swisscom...and more) preconfigure
mobile phones for their own network. At first glance, this seemed like a
great idea: preconfigured MMS settings, GPRS settings and so on can be a
good help to the (unexperienced) user. Some operators even decided to
provide their own themes, animated startup/shutdown logos and make their
own website always loaded when starting the browser. That's what we
usually call branding. In the P900, those settings are not removable.
Someone at SE decided to pair the branding and the firmware in the P900.
That's why we can't modify/delete those settings and animations.

Every time a new firmware is released by SE the network operator which
choosed to brand his client's P900 phones has to put his own branding
stuff in it and to send it back to the SE server so it can be made
available for the operator's clients for download. The network operators
apparently have other things to do than always checking for the latest
firmware and to apply their branding. Some obviously don't do it at all.
While a user with a non-branded firmware is always able to get the
latest firmware online, that is not the case for the users with a
branded phone firmware. They're stuck with an old, usually more buggy
    firmware.

If you're annoyed by this and believe you should be able to do whatever
pleases you with a device that you own, then this software is for you.

    Good luck
    Regards
    Jean-Yves

Just to vouch for this, I used the previous version of the unbrander from
this group (before SE stopped it working) and have happily been using my
unbranded (previously O2-UK) P900 for a few months now with no problems
    whatsoever.

Well my O2 branding yesterday and loving it! Missed the first wave by
a couple of hours and was gutted at the time.
