SE Mobile Monitor removal, how ??

How do i get rid of this program ? I can't see it in Add/remove and I
can't see any un install option

Thats the only way to remove it "automatically". Worked on 3 of my four
systems when decided the one I was going to leave it on. Other than that,
you can use TweakUI to hide the control panel icon if you wish, or do a
search for .cpl files and delete the one and the registry entry it refers
to.

Oh, and does the program actually launch when you execute the shortcut in
the control panel? If it does, you have another copy of it somewhere besides
iin the folder you uninstalled from above. If you had installed an older
version, you may want to see if there is an "ericsson" folder in addition to
the "sonyericsson" folder.

Yep it still launches, even though a search of the computer can not
find anything related to Ericsson or SonyEricsson any more and the reg
is cleaned as well, think is its interfering with Com1 when I try to
use a data cable with my Nokia phone now

Try to reinstall, then uninstall, you may have hacked the registry to the
point of non removal.

Ok, look for a file named, ecsepm.cpl, it should be found in
c:\windows\system32, delete it, reboot computer and it should be gone from
control panel.

If the program is still launching, then the unwise was not executed properly
and all the files are still resident in a folder somewhere. Unless you
changed the path during install, they would have to be in one of the two
paths I gave above, depending on the version you had installed. Keep in mind
simply uninstalling through the control panel will not get rid of that
particular component. You must browse to the folder in which you installed
it, and run the unwise.exe. It will fault out looking for a log file, at
which point you have to redirect it to the correct log file as mentioned
above. If that doesn't get rid of it, and reinstalling and going back
through that same uninstall process again (manually browsing to folder and
using the unwise), then you have corrupted the registry somewhere along the
line.

Yes, at a command line, that will also work. I would suspect if he is having
trouble getting the automated uninstall to work, that he doesn't
particularly want to fool with cammand line switches, but very good point!

even that didn't work I ran it in Dos as well

XP isn't the best for DOS
