Hi
Have IM+ for MSN messenger on my P900 and was wondering if anyone knew how
much it would cost to keep it logged in all day through Voda GPRS?
TIA

Doesn't it depend of how often/much you receive/send messages, as its
charged by the mb, not the time you are online

Yes but IM does contact the central servers regularly. I think its this he
is refering too.
You would have to monitor the BW usage during a routing update between IM
client and server. Then note down the frequency of this, every 5 mins sounds
familier. Then work out the BW used in a day.

There might be an amount of pinging to check the connection, and 'silent'
messages telling you who's come online/offline, as to how much that adds up
to I wouldn't have a clue!

I see...
I ran mine for about 4 hours a couple of nights back, whilst in the pub, It
used a total of about 100k, including about a 20 piece conversation.

agilemessagenger. Seems to work fine, but I only use it when I'm allowed
out to the pub !! Normally I use Trillian on the PC and MSMess on my Axim

That's a lot.. I know the old version of AgileMessenger used way less than
that. That was when they relayed through their own server. Now I think it
connects direct which would result in higher overhead 'leakage' I suppose.
