How do I stop the P900 backlight coming on in your pocket?!

Hi

When you put the P900 into it's case
the backlight comes on - indefinitely!

Is there a way to stop this as it wastes
batteries horrendously.

To my knowledge, I dont think there's a way really. If you locked it, I
think the only way to get the light to come on is it you press the required
key to unlock the keypad. Any other button will have no effect and the light
will remain off.

I have a T300. When I lock the keypad, it says that I have to press "C" to
unlock. That button is the only button that'll turn the backlight on and
allow to unlock the keypad. Any other button pressed will make the screen
name "Press C to unlock", but the backlight will still be off.

Sadly this is not true!
If I press either "OK" or the "menu" key
then the backlight comes one and it says
Press * to confirm!

I founn taking the battery out quite helpful. Though, I have a T610, so this
might not be true in your case

Yes but then you cant receive calls!
