Format the new stick in the phone, then copy the files from the old to the
new stick
with a MS reader-writer. Dont forget to set the view options in the explorer
to "show all"
so you dont miss any important system files.
if you havent got a card-reader, use the craddle and do a full phone and
memorystick
backup, then swap the sticks, format it and restore the backup. this is a
bit risky because
sometimes restoring will not work properly, especially when you have
Appforge installed.
So if u havent got already a cardreader, get one. Here on the continent you
can get them
for about 10 quid.

Martin

Re: P800 & Memory stick duo question
Just restored data on the memmory card to the new one (thanks Martin)
Have another question though - can you set the phone up to store sms
messages on the memory card rather than phone memory?

Thanks - I was looking at another one on the same site (but couldn't
download for some reason). This looks like it does the same job!

Re: P800 & Memory stick duo question
Hey Bowman,
i can now save them to a text file on the stick. However, when I move the
text file to my laptop and open it - I just get a page of gibberish
(different from my usual text I mean ;-)

SWSMS Manager - I can't get the programme to install on my laptop. It keeps
telling me ther's a file missing. I'm going to email them for a new copy.
At least I can clear space on the phone noow - 800 texts takes up a bit of
space!
