    I have just managed to spill a pint of bitter all over my phone! It
    wasnt on and I immediately removed the battery and tipped off most of
    it - havent attempted to turn it on as yet ;-(

    It seems to me to be a good idea to take the case off to let it dry
    out, and maybe brush it a little with a solvent of some description -
    good plan or bad plan?

    I have found references to the casing being clipped together rather
    than screwed, but it seems pretty solid and I dont want to damage it
    by being heavy handed. Is there an obvious place to start when
    removing these cases?

    Ho hum. Thanks in advance.

    Richard.

    Simple dismantle instructions are available at the UselessInfo site in my
    sig. Once it's apart, personally I'd get it cleaned in an ultrasonic bath.

    Ah - not so useless then! Thanks very much ;-)

    I am intrigued by the idea of an ultrasonic bath; will be looking into that!

    Regards & thanks;
