Have been trying to get the P900 in South Africa, but am told every time I
phone them that I have to wait 2 weeks before it is available. 2 weeks
later, I get the same response, Wait another 2 weeks.
I then decided to phone Sony Ericcson themselves and they tell me the same
thing. There is no stock available in South Africa since SE did not
manufacture enogh hand sets and thus there is a shortage of P900's in South
Africa.
Is this so????
I know lots of people wanting it and if SE don't deliver soon, people will
go and buy other cell-phones.
I want to know if the above comments is actually true and why the delay.

Sounds like it's true and you have been given reason for delay. Pure supply
and demand old chap. Place you order then you will only have to wait 2
weeks once instead of going round in circles after asking the same question
more than once. I understand your frustration, I had to wait 24 hours for
mine to arrive and i was seriously peeved at that!

It's not just South Africa, I think it's a worldwide problem. I'm
trying to get a P900 as an upgrade from my existing mobile provider in
the UK. Some companies have them in stock, but only the people that
charge far too much for them - I'm assuming they don't actually sell
that many. My mobile provider (Orange) doesn't have any, either
online or in their stores.
It's driving me mad, especially as my old phone is almost dead.
