I used to have a P800, and was able to use my PC's ADSL connection for P800
email and the built-in web browser while connected via Bluetooth or the
cradle -- through the trick of creating a 'dummy' GPRS account. (Of
course, I didn't neet the dummy account for Opera).

    I've now got a P900, and I've just discovered the dummy-account trick
doesn't seem to work. I get an "activation rejected" message, and after I
click the 'Continue' button the process stops.

    Does anybody have a workaround?

    Cheers

In the cradle it works for me without any problems. You can even have
correct internet accounts and Opera will pick up the cradle connection
    instead of using GPRS.

However what doesn't work for me is the same through Bluetooth. I have
tried using a faked internet account and having no internet account at
all. In the case of the faked account the same happens that you
experienced as well. If I have no internet account activated, then
Opera tells me I have to create one first.

    I got it!

First, make sure that the COM port associated with your Bluetooth USB
dongle (or the COM port associated with whatever provides Bluetooth for
you) is ticked in the connection manager of the phone suite.

Second, make sure that you establish a Serial Port Profile (SPP)
connection between the Px00 and the computer and not a Dial-Up
    Networking (DUN) connection.

That's all. Now you can browse the web with e.g. Opera by using your
PC's internet connection. You don't have to delete or "misconfigure"
your GPRS settings, the phone picks up the Bluetooth connection in
favour of the GPRS accounts if the above two settings are correct.

    Hope this helps.

PS: The above is tested on a HP Omnibook XT 1000 with a SonyEricsson
P900 and the new AVM BlueFritz! USB v2.0 dongle under Windows XP Home.

PPS: Now, off to get the same working under Debian GNU/Linux as well ...

Thanks, but I didn't have a problem with this! My problem is the P900
built-in email client -- getting *that* to use the PC's internet connection
    via the cradle.

    Appreciate your experience and advice.

It won't works, You will have to use a java client such as EmailViewer
    for that
