Difference between hands free and headset bluetooth profiles

What is the difference between these 2 profiles?
i know nokia use handsfree and my p900 uses headset.
Is one better than the other?

It is not a matter of better or not.
You have to be aware of the other party (headset, carkit etc), this should
also support the same profile as you have on your P900: headset.
Some headsets and carkits do not support headset profile: don't buy!
All Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headsets and carkits support both headset and
handsfree.
