Just been playing with my T610 & there now seems to be a new symbol(s)
on the screen. It's next to the signal strength indicator. It is a red
phone handset with a red arrow pointing from left-to-right over it.
I'd just been checking my diverts when this appeared. As my calls were
diverted anyway on busy/unreachable/unanswered to my voicemail I didn't
think I'd changed anything (though I *may* have cancelled and then
activated them again). I've tried cancelling all diverts but this does
not get rid of the symbol. The (Orange) manual I have shows a phone
handset with an ANGLED arrow above it for call divert, but I have NEVER
seen that, although I have always had diverts activated.
It's an unlocked (but not unbranded) Orange phone on O2, about 10 months
old, and as I said, has always had call divert, but never showed a
symbol before now (if it is a call divert symbol that's now appeared).
TIA.

You appear to have switched on selective call reception.
Calls Menu, Manage Calls, Accept Calls, Accept Options.
You will probably have "Only from list" or "From No One" ticked.
Change it back to "All Callers" if you actually want to receive calls!

On the T616, it would indicate you've enabled the InfraRed ability. Check
your manual.
