K700i graphics

i have a k700i (vodafone) i have noticed the menu graphics are not the same
as those advertised, is this because its a vodafone model, and can i upgrade
the graphics?
also i have a data cable but cannot seem to upload MP3's for use as
ringtones, the connection is good as i have managed to upload images etc,
what would be the best program (windows XP) to crop and send mp3's to the
K700i.

If the phone is locked to Vodaphone, then it is impossible to use an mp3 as
ringtone. Vodafone has apparently altered the software in the phone.

In the future, it might be possible with a firmware upgrade OR if you buy
the MP3's from your operator only.
