R380 World mobile: forgotten security code

"Ericsson R380 World" is the make/model of the phone.

The help I need is to unlock the phone security code (phone lock) which
the previous owner set and has now forgotten.

The manual to my phone is here:

The lock I need to unlock is discussed on page 77.

I have just reset my a2628s using the serial cable and reflashed another
which was terminal and now is working again, I used ATR 5.0 not 5.3 as was
in the forum I posted, it also reads my R380 World but back up the eeprom
first because if you lose it then you won't find another in a hurry.

When you turn it on, if you press L * * L, what does the various locks show?

I only have the Data cable that came with the phone that lets you sync with
my PC. Is that the same cable I need to use ATR 5.0 ?

I assume L=Left Arrow ?


Tried that key combination but doesnt nothing because phone is waiting
for a lock code.

Just says "Phone locked. Enter code"
