I have had my p900 for 9 months. Bought it in December of 2003. It has
worked fine until last week.
I have a 256mb external memory card in the phone which stores, sounds,
pictures, documents and applications.
It has an internal memory that holds the main system files and
applications that come pre-packaged with the phone.
It is in this last week that the internal memory has decided that it
no longer wants to work anymore.
The phone will boot up and it will run, but I will not have access to
my contacts, e-mail, sms, mms, vms, camera and control panel services.
It will run the applications based on my external memory card, but it
will not install and/or uninstall applications - it appears that that
has something to do with internal memory configurations.
Has anyone experienced this problem before?
If any technicians are reading this, have you ever experienced an
internal memory collapse on this type of phone. If so, how did you
rectify the problem.
I cannot even do a master reset, as that is an internal memory
software application. Is there any way of doing a master reset on the
hardware level?
Your contributions to this would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Smiley

Sorry have no hints to your problem, but i wonder about the 256mb
memorystick.
P900 supports only memoryspick duo (not duo pro) and they come in max 128mb.
Could you pls comment on this ? If it actually is 256mb what kind of stick
is it ?
This could be your problem that you have insertet a memorystick that the
p900 do not support.

Re: P900 Internal Memory Collapse
256mb?
Not possible as far as I know. Only P910 supports duo pro.
Anyway, try "jogdial up" * "jogdial down" "jogdial down" * "jogdial down" *
then select "Service functions"
this should format your internal memory.
