Has anyone managed to get the p910 to work as a modem over the Bluetooth
link and onto the vodalive web?
I am told that it can not be done...

Bizarre. I nearly bought one! Surely if the phone itself can view web
pages, they are talking daft arnt they?

If the phone is working with its email client - check which settings are
in use and try them in the pc. The tel number is *99# and it might be
worth putting a z in the 'addition modem dial string'

    Good luck.

(Have to say Voda are generating some pretty silly publicity with this
if its real - Voda also disable playing mp3s as ringtones on the S700i
presumably to force you to buy ringtones from vodalive??

    Or am I just paranoid...

tried all that, spent 90 minutes talking to Voda and trying different
settings on the phone and the laptop but without success (ear got a bit warm
    but that was all)

    They have escalated the problem.....

will let you know how I get on

    Thanks for all that.

When I'm feeling sufficiently mellow I'll give Vodophone a ring. Don't
suppose it'll get anywhere but it might......

If I can find it I might try my old Nokia 6310 which I know used to work
with the PC no problems on Orange.

I'm on Orange and the phone works fine over Bluetooth as a modem or via IR
    as well ( I use a Palm T3)
