I have a SE S700i but I bought it before I realised that vodaphone had
"customised it"
Or as I would call it - Messed it up !!!! The Graphical display looks
terible compared to the demo phone they showed me in the shop.
And the stupid DRM feature so I cant use mp3's as a ringtone without
having to put it through the DRM software I had to download.
So I am now considering getting the phone debranded. To return the
Graphical display back to the origional.
But what I want to know, before I do this is what I am letting myself in
for?
Has anyone here had experience of having a phone debranded ?
And was it worth the effort ?
Did you loose any feature? like the config for Vodaphone WAP etc
Thanks

sorry i have never had to do this, but have you tried the master rest but
would guess that it would reset to the vodafone stuff but you might get lucky
hope this helps.

I have the soft- and hardware to debrand/unlock/upgrade a lot of
different phones. I also did it with my v800 to make it a (unbranded)
z800...
But in your case, I'd bring the phone back to the shop and insist to get
an unbranded phone (that's what I also did with my k700i - they told my
in the shop the vodaphone version just has onther logo on the shell and
the longer warranty - when I found out that this isn't true they changed
it to an unbranded version without any problems)
