Just got the K700i. SE Sync programme appears not to have a filter for
categories! Why not? Neither does it have a possibility to map the
fields, e.g. address fields. Why not? Now i'm stuck to using the old
XTNDconnect that came with the T610, though that's only working with IR
connection, and doesn't sync the new fields like notes and addresses.
Is there any other suitable sync programme on the market?

I'am using XTNDconnect with bluetooth on my K700i as did I on the T610.
It just works!
You don't mention which O/S you are using, but IF you are using Windows XP,
DON'T install any SE drivers. Just use the XP ones. They are actually
working.
If you want to try something else than XTNDconnect peruse:
http://fma.sourceforge.net/index2.htm
It's fun and its free.
Best regards

Use Google and you will find it.
Instead of using the word "sucks" in your subject line you better use the
tools available to you.

Re: SE sync programme sucks!
I get it working as well, via IR. But how do you connect via BlueTooth?
and are you able to map the new K700i fields (Notes, Address, etc) as
well?

1) If you are using Windows XP DON'T install the SE drivers.
They are not as stable as the generic windows drivers.
2) Make sure that you have paired the phone with windows.
3) Identify which serial port has been assigned to bluetooth.
This port has to be allowed by the XNTConnect s/w.
4) Wait until XTNDConnect times-out and open the appropriate port
in the configuration window that pops up after the time-out.
5) Press the settings button in the XTNDConnect app to specify what gets
synced and how.
6) Sync along!
