    Hi,

Does anyone know how to make your own USB datacomm cable for
SonyEricsson handphone (J300i) for transferring data (MP3) from PC to
    handphone.

A new USB datacomm cable for Ericsson costs RM180 (US$48). Way too
    expensive.

    Thanks

Use infrared, go to sony website
    download the utilities programme
(it is hidden some where in sony's website)

or by a 3rd party cable, a lot cheaper.

Heard that 3rd party ones are unreliable. any truth in it. And suppose
my phone does not have infrared; any further options.

    Thanks.

And I suppose that if you made your own cable, it would be more
reliable? There are chips and circuitry in those things that require
surface mount technology. Supposing you can somehow obtain all the
proprietary components and pcb, the spacing between ic pins may be one
fifth to one tenth the width of your soldering iron tip. How to
    solder?

Yeah, after 6 months, you'll be too weak to do anything,
let alone going to buy the cable. :-P

Who said "original" is expensive? It is even cheaper than the "fake"!!

My recent experience when trying to get a stereo hand-free for my
    phone:

Type 1 which is packed in Motorola packaging, with Motorola stickers,
    etc etc. RM45.

Type 2 which is packed in plain packaging, no Motorola sticker. RM75.

    See, "original" is cheaper :-)

I think the issues is that this cable is an "active" device that
    contains electronics beyond simple wiring.

If you staying in KL/PJ, try to visit Low Yat Plaza, 1st Floor.
You might find you cable cheaper there.

Having a nasi lemak everyday is not of healty sign, why not trying other lunch menu, changing of food taking does help. Eg. Nasi lemak cost you RM1.00 instead changed to fresh fruits alternately. A balance diet help your internal digestions as for nasi lemak everyday will increase the amount of cholesterol. Myself not a somekind of doctors but rather keeping a good balance diet is much more proper. No offend please.

    Ps: topic out of subject.
