Hi,
I'm just learning about this so pardon me if this is a stupid question.
I have a T226 SE cellphone and I'm currently tied to Rogers right now.
I'm looking to change providers because I really don't care for Roger's
plans. If I get my phone unlocked will I be able to use that phone on a
different network? Would I be able to use the same SIM card or do I
have to buy a network specific SIM card? If I can't use the SIM card
then what would be the purpose of getting my phone unlocked?
Thanks!

When your phone has been unlocked, you'll be able to use *any* sim card.
Your current provider as well as any other in the world.
(be aware that not the whole world uses the same frequencies, but that's an other story)
