    Advice needed please.

When my t68i is switched off and sat in my newly bought 'non official'
desktop charger it cycles through the screen 'Charging only' through
to switching the screen off through to 'Charging only' and so on.
It's as if the charger is switching on and off repeatedly.

It does not do this when the mains charger is plugged directly into
the phone without the desktop charger.

I thought this might be a dodgy connection on the desktop charger but
when the phone is switched on and placed in the charger it behaves
perfectly normally ie Displays 'Optimized charging' just the once and
settles down to charging the phone.

    Any body got any ideas.???

When you say "desktop charger" is it active or passive (i.e. does it have
its own integrated charging circuit or not)? It should be passive (like the
SE CST-13 or similar) in that it simply acts as a "pass through" for the
    system connector.

If this is the case, then the connection is dodgy.

    Hope this helps.
