Believe this is STN display problem. TFT is slightly better.
But I could not understand why Ericsson choose to build a phne with 64K
color and yet using a STN display.

Re: t610 any good?
Because using STN screen would have much better battery time than
using TFT, just look at samsung, its battery lasts less than 1 day !!
Anyway, I have no problem reading my T610 screen under sunlight ! Its
very clear and visible !

Re: t610 any good?
No, base on technical spec. It is only 5 to 7% different. I think the main
consideration is cost.
Which Samsung you are using. I am using the v200. With standard battery, it
can go for 2.5 days for me.
Many phone started to have TFT soon. Including the new Motorola E365.

Re: t610 any good?
If you don't need color or camera but want Bluetooth, great reception,
sunlight readability, and incredible battery life... look at the Nokia
6310i. It's very slim, has GPRS, infrared, Bluetooth, 1100 mAh LiIon, and
easy navigation buttons. Most color displays, even TFT, will wash out in
sunshine unless you orient the display for the best viewing angle.

This is true of the older Samsungs. The newer ones are much improved - the
better higher spec the components, the less the battery life.

Re: t610 any good?
That depend on your useage.
Those T610 users in my country commented that it usually last for 3 - 3.5
days for normal use. So 2.5 vs 3 days is not much of different. One big
different is Samsung come with 2 batteries. You have to compare them with
the same telco provider.

Re: t610 any good?
2 days max out of my T610, but I do use it quite a bit. Don't know anyone
who gets more than 3 though
