I got one on Monday, I had to pay a £50 upgrade fee because I was only 6
months into the contract but the phone was free because I am on yp400.

you will have to pay 99.99 for the phone I believe because of the low tariff
    that you are on.

If you've been on a contract for at least 12 months you can walk into an
Orange store and upgrade to the T610 for free, they'll give you £30 for your
    old phone also.

    My brother did this yesterday.

If you have been on VM OVP/ED50 L1/2 combo for > 12 months is the upgrade
price fixed on ED50 or VM?

Clearly there is a little difference :-)
