I have been trying to upload amr sound files to my phone.

I started with some wav files and tried running the ericsson wav to amr
(horrible) program. Depending on which wav files I used that sometimes
creates an output file but the sound quality of it is next to useless,
even at the highest quality setting.

Has anyone had any luck producing quality .amr files for upload to thier
phone? It would be good if I could just get a plugin codec to do the
conversion directly instead of having to use the clunky ericsson
    program.

    Re: Creating amr files

Pete, Xingtone is about to release the next version that will support
the AMR file format. What carrier are you currently with?

Looks like you`re in New Zealand.

I`d offer to give you free version of the app if you`d beta test but,
    its already free. ...
