Hi, I used to have a T68i, which kept coming up with 'SOS calls only', and
other poor reception problems, even though my Nokia had perfect reception on
same network in the same area (Vodafone). Has this problem been rectified
with the T610?
Also, does the T610 still have stupidly quiet message tones which you can't
modify? (Not everyone works in a 'pin drop' office!!! (As so many people
have told them). Please don't say that SE have ignored this and done the
same again! That would just be stupid and prove that they don't listen to
their customers at all.

There's a customisable tone but I missed a SMS today... Unfortunately you
can't use your own midi file...

The T610 is better but not as good as the T39 was and also not as good as
the Nokia 6310i or Motorola V66i which are the other phones I use regularly

You can pick an alert tone (a polyphonic sound but not the same as the
ringtones) and they are much easier to her than the T68i

IMHO they are a crap set of sms tones though that come as default(I only
like one of them) and you can't use your own! It's a phone, not a
carribean island or circus tent
SE, please change this in the Z600 or a later firmware!

One review I read stated that the RF performance was worse than the
already poor T68 - don't know if this was a pre-production phone or not.
I often use mine in fairly marginal areas without problems. Mine is far
better than my T39. The Z600 has much better RF according to this
review:
http://www.mobileburn.com/review.jsp?Page=1&Id=492
I'm not convinced the T610's RF is as bad now as this review suggests,
I'm sure many have stated its performance is much than the T68i on this
NG & elsewhere. The fact you can't add message tones is a silly
oversight. I do miss the T39's flip.
SE need to watch this performance area closely, especially if they want
to woo people away from Nokias. The Z200 has an interesting hoop
external aerial.

Could've been better. The T68 had poor reception, the T610 is better, but
still only average. Though, it's pretty good to hold on to signals.
Read T610 reviews here:

However, the forthcoming camshell Z600 has better reception than T610.

Re: Does T610 suffer from poor reception?
Really its the only thing that bothers me (and my mates with T610's) is the
way the phone just sits there with its blacked out screen, knowing you have
missed a call or message. Why don't they make the joystick LED flash or
something?? I have contacted SE about this and they have passed on my
comments. Shan't hold my breath.
