I knew that would happen.
I've been waiting for ages to upgrade my 68i to the 610,
and then they announce a newer version still.
Now I'm gonna have to wait even longer.
Orange still say "no stock" for upgrade on the 610.
Wonder how long till they test and approve their own badged version of the
630.

Re: New T630
Finally found Contract Orange T610 at an Orange retail shop the other week -
upgraded and I love it. Orange 150 were still out of stock, had been for a
week or two, and didn't know when it'd be.
Surely it'll be a while before Orange sort out getting stock of the 630?
You could be onto a long wait - permenantly waiting for the next big thing
that's *just* about to come out.

I hardly think so. The "my friends" function uses the new mobile Instant
Messaging system, which I believe needs hardware support in the phone in
order to function.
And you don't get a TFT display by upgrading the firmware.

I think the "zoom" is actually a lens protector....

Re: New T630
Try this...
http://www.openwave.com/products/mes...ant_messaging/
Don't know that it's got much information about who's adopting it and when.
But if it doesn't link in to MSN Messenger or something, then it's another
competing instant messenger system, and the more there are the more spread
out the users are... and therefore less useful?

I think the mirror is still a "bubble attach". If that was a mirror,
it's a bit too low to be used as a guide to what is being shot, I think
it is used to help slide it.
There appears to be an "arrow" indicating sliding down on it.
Overall, the phone appears to be a nice "fix up some of the annoying
things" that the T610 has / service pack for the phone, but I won't be
upgrading to it, especially if the software is fundamentally the same
(thats what the online demo indicates anyway).

Sure? A DSTN (T610) is better under direct sunlight. But on color DSTN
this is just for the case when light comes (nearly) from the same
direction you look on the display. So if you have problems to view
the display outside, try to have the sun from the back.

Re: New T630
No true, TFT is better under Sun light when the back light is turn off.
