Well I've had a day to play with it and so far this is what I think:

    Pluses
Screen is excellent, just as good as a high quality PDA
Very light weight, yet feels solid
Aesthetically very pleasing to the eye, lack of an obvious aerial sets the
    phone off nicely
    Speed of functions is good
Has the main functions I need - IR, BT, GPRS, tri-band

    Issues so far
Unable to get XTND Connect to work with IR, hopefully get to the bottom of
    this tomorrow
There is an O2 button on the menu (top left), I have no idea how to get rid
    of it
3 On my T68i, when you hold the joystick to the right, you can search for a
name - very handy if you have loads of people beginning with an "a" or "s2
etc. Cant seem to replicate this on the Z600 yet
Pressing the up arrow connects you to the Internet. Seems a bit silly
beacuse there is also a globe button at the bottom left which does something
similar. Would like to change this to give me a search name function if
    possible

Anyway, looks well worth the wait and I am pretty satisfied with the
purchase so far, hopefully get most of the above resolved soon.

    Hi!

On my phone there's a Vodafone button. Have no idea how to get rid of it
    either.
I think this button changes from provider to provider...

    Cheers from Germany,

    Re: Z600 First Impressions

    Hi,

I was lucky enough to get a unbranded Z600 on saturday. The top left
menu entry was SonyEricsson in the original setting, but the GPRS and
MMS values were not set. I found out, that the left entry (at least on
my unbranded one) is nothing else than the homepage that is set in the
GPRS profile. You can change this setting in the menu Connectivity-> WAP
    Options -> WAP Profiles -> /Your Profile/. Choose Edit -> Advanced and
finally Change Homepage. This changed the value of the top left menu entry.

I also had problems to configure XTND Connect. I downloaded the newest
version from the SonyEricsson homepage (don't know if this is newer than
on the Z600 CD). There's also a single-sided PDF who explains how to
configure the tool. The solution for me was that the mobile phone must
be installed as a modem first in order to connect to it. After
installing the Z600 as a bluetooth modem, XTND worked. There's a modem
for IR connection too - I suppose that the procedure is the same.

    Achim.

Not for me, my homepageis vodafone but clicking on top left still connects
to O2. This is an OK feature I suppose because I can now connect to 2
different homepages quite easily. Wouldnt mind changing the O2 symbol to
    something else though.

Managed to get it to work but it is still intermittent. I didnt change
anything significant and the settings options that the "help" function
advises you need to change are greyed out.
