t68i - No Access Message

Got a SE T68i and recently it has stalled when sending SMS and struggles
sometimes to get a signal. It now says NO ACCESS on the front screen.

Ive tested my SIM in another phone and it works ok and a friends SIM doesnt
work in my T68i (same NO ACCESS message)

Anyone any ideas? Is it terminal ?

Most probably, yes it is terminal. It sounds like the same problem that
affected my phone and lots of other T68/T68i's. Apparently, it's connected
to the firmware version but I don't know the details. You should either take
it to a SonyEricsson service centre (if it's still under warranty) or talk
to your mobile phone operator.

Check to see if it is set to GSM or GPRS my sons had the same problem

Are you in the US? I got that on my battered T68 when trying to use it on
1900 - but on 900/1800 it was still fine.

It is a known problem - related to age (mine was a year old), for some
reason.
