I had a problem recently with my T610 battery draining within about 24
hours whilst on standby. I was all prepared to go out and get a new
battery when I decided to change the theme back to one of the default
ones that come with the phone.
As usual I charged my phone and hey presto back to normal standby
time, on reflection when the problem started I had changed my theme to
a non standard one and was wondering why this would be the case or if
the sudden recovery of my phone was purely coincidental.....
Any ideas?

Just off the top of my head, could it be something to do with screen-saver
settings? If the screen was lit continuously, this would drain the batter
fairly quickly..

Check your connectivity settings. If you eg. by accident turned on
bluetooth / IR, ir so, then you most likely would run out of battery
withing 24 hours.

No IR and no bluetooth. This was definitely related to the theme and
may have been the settings on it for the screen saver but I didn't
notice the light on and I use my phone quite a lot. This was over a 1
month period and I don't think anything was different apart from this
theme and after going back to a standard one the problem just went.
I might have to investigate the theme contents and see if I can
re-create the problem.....some science is needed here...!

http://members.lycos.co.uk/themecreator/
this creates themes, BUT if you open the offending theme with it (after
sending it to your 'puter) you can have a look at the code for it and
compare it to a them's code that isnt wrecking the battery........ science
made easy ;-)
