Can anyone point me in the direction of a website that will allow me to
d/load the software which allows you to use the T610 as a pointer for the
PC. The site I have been to before does not allow me to d/load anything.
    TIA

Sounds interesting, having my mobile as a 'pointer' (whatever that means),
but what does it really DO, this program? I tried to look around on the
website you linked to, but I couldn't find any real information...

It runs on a PC. It connects to your T610/T68 via cable, IR or BT. It allows
you to sync phone records. It allows you to edit groups, profiles and a
bunch of other stuff. It displays the CLI and matching name of calls on your
PC screen - I think it even includes a picture of the caller now. It shows a
more accurate signal strength. It shows how many times te battery has been
charged. It shows the temperature of the battery.

Through the use of VB scripts, you can create a menu on the phone that
passes instructions back to the PC. One of the example scripts includes
controls for PowerPoint - one menu option mimics F5 to start a presentation,
another mimics 'N' for next slide etc. etc.

Download, read, install. It's all fairly straight forward but it's not
    spoon-feed level.

Interesting - but the site does not mention XP compatibility...

Once installed, Tools > Options > Connection includes:

"Use Native Bluetooth (Requires XP SP1, MS Bluetooth Driver)"

The powerpoint menu, easily adapted to more functions with te vbscript
sendkey functionality, is marvelous. Black or white screen, direct access
to numbered screens. start and stop projection, etc.

The problem under iRda is: once you loose the connection, fma has to be
    restarted on the computer.

The BlueTooth connection is far mor reliable when walking around delivering
    your speech, sermon or lecture.

Ah, so this 'pointer' stuff in the topic is to make the phone act as a
    remote control? Nifty!

    Thanks for the explanation mate.
