    We have modified the following existing provisions of the Service
    Agreement:

    * period of time within which any modification to the Service
    Agreement becomes effective (third paragraph of the introduction):
    thirty (30) days instead of five (5) days;
    * disclosure of your account information (fifth and sixth paragraph
    of the introduction): addition of a new provision dealing with the
    promotion of additional products and services offered by the Rogers
    Communications group of companies;
    * billing calculation (section 1)*: a call you receive starts from
    the first ring-the same rule that applies to a call you initiate;
    * limitations concerning the use of equipment and services (section
    16): a more comprehensive language has been included;
    * deposits (section 20): deposits will be credited to your account
    after at least twelve (12) consecutive months in good standing of all
    your Fido accounts instead of six (6) months;
    * suspension and termination (section 30): a more comprehensive
    language has been included;
    * effective date of cancellation initiated by the customer (section
    30)*: termination of your Fido Service is effective thirty (30) days
    following your termination request instead of on the last day of your
    billing cycle.

    One which was not documented in the pamphlet sent with invoices:

    The interest on late payments is no longer pro-rated. If you're late one
    day, you're billed for one month of interest at 2% interest on the very
    bill produced a few days after the payment deadline.

    Interestingly, the stuff about when billing for a call starts, it
    mentions that for incoming calls, we are now billed *LIKE FOR OUTBOUND
    CALLS* at the first ring. Previously, for outbound calls, it was
    supposed to be SEND-TO-END which means you get billed for time before it
    starts to ring. Will have to bother the fursst 4 legged CSRs for
    clarification on that.

    Also, if you change your package, it ios no longer effective on the day
    you ask, it begins at your next billing cycle.
