Just got a new V400 with Cingular and have figured most everything out
except the SIM card PIN code and the PIN2 code...tried setting a SIM card
PIN code and of course after trying to figure out what the old passcode was
(tried 000, 123, my unlock code, security code...all to no avail), it locked
me out after 3 tries. Took it back to Cingular and they could not figure it
out either...they finally gave me a new SIM card...but, of course, I lost
    all of my phonebook entries...

Has anyone else ran into this problem...? Does anybody know what the
    default codes are here...?

    Thanks CP

The SIM PIM code can only be given by service providers. don't deal with
the people in the store, call customer service. code is rolled every 24
hours and prevents others from hacking your phone. once they verify
personal information, they will give you the code to unlock. get the code
wrong 10 times, and you SIM card must be replaced.
