    ok, i will keep it locked but just for learning purposes, what is that lock
    and lock application on the phone's menu about?

    That's different. The lock menu on your phone lets you lock the phone so
    others can't use it if they pick it up. Really no need to do it unless
    you leave your phone lying around in public. The last time I used the
    lock feature was on a car phone in 1984 to prevent the valets from
    making local calls at 45 cents/min.
