Hi all,
I need to depart today to Europe and I was wondering if I could use my Moto
v300 over there without getting killed by T-mobile? can I buy a local SIM
card? Does my phone need to be unlocked? what exactly would I have to do and
who should I talk to? Thank you in advance and please excuse my ignorance.

Re: Motorola v300 in Europe?
I have got the same phone and am leaving for Hong Kong in 1 week's
time. What I have done is have my T-Mobile Motorola V300 phone
unlocked. Get a local SIM card from Simpro that says it allows call
from Hong Kong to USA/Canada for CDN$25 150mins and activated before
leaving for HK. Or alternative buy one of those local SIM cards and
use it for local calls and long distance calls.

Re: Motorola v300 in Europe?
Remember, the phone must be unlocked to be able to use SIM cards other
than your network provider.

Re: Motorola v300 in Europe?
Yes - you definately need your phone to be un-locked , then you can use all
sim cards - i´m using local sim cards in my V500 when i´m in Thailand and
Singapore
then i just go down to the local mobile pusher and by a simcard with prepaid
airtime and when needed , i just re-fill the card!
Works fine....
