Bought one. Unbranded, unlocked. Appears to have been a U.K. model:
British English in menus, don't you know, old chum. No problem; I
    think it's kind of cool!
Otherwise, phone works great. Shipped without box. I tried to find
IMEI. Thought I'd register it with Motorola for warranty, and with my
providers' insurance (so I could get it replaced if it was lost or
damaged). No IMEI sticker under the battery. #06# didn't bring it
up. There's supposed to be another way to find it in the Settings
menu, but it wan't there, either. Any thoughts as to why it might not
    be there? Anyone?

Motorola for warranty....insurance (so I could get it replaced if it was lost or
    damaged)
make sure when you report for your replacement. just say that is LOST.
if other reason you will ask to return the old one.

if you report is damage, it will replace the only damage part. NOT a brand new one.
