Have a Motorola T720c phone that has the minibrowser feature. I think I
would like
to try the feature out but my carrier does not offer the service. I have
been told there are free legal portals that will allow me to access WAP
sites.
Is this information accurate?
Where can I find how to set up the service?
Where on my Motorola can I find how to change the portals?
Do I need to change my home page?
I have read a number of web sites and have tried setting up the service on
my phone for WebTunnel and a few others but keep getting 'Network not
responding' or 'Server
not responding.'
If you prefer, just direct me to the site I need.

Re: Wap service
AFAIK you must have the web service from your carrier to use ANY
browser-based features. They (the carrier) after all, provide the TCP/IP
connection between your phone and the rest of the internet. The free
portals you mention, I would guess, are sites that aggregate other
WAP-friendly sites as links, and probably get paid a per-click commission
from those other sites.
