Hey everyoine -
My father in law just bought a V600 and wants to use it with his laptop to
access the internet... they are on the road a lot and he would like to
check his email, etc.
He did buy the bluetooth USB "thingie", and my question is what exactly do
we need to do to get him set up? I don't know if his phone came with the
correct software to be able to use his phone as a pseudo-modem or if he
needs to buy something else.
ANy help would be very appreciated as I have never done this myself before
and want to appear to him like I at least SOMEWHAT know what I'm doing...
;-)
Oh, and also... if he uses his phone like this, woulod his time online just
count against his account minutes with the free nights and weekends and all
that, or is there an extra charge of some type to use his phone in this way?
(He's on Cingular)
Thanks for everything!
Bill

Re: V600 to get laptop online???
Easiest way is to get Mobile Phone Tools from Motorola. It will create the
wireless connection easily over BT.

Re: V600 to get laptop online???
You need to turn on the Bluetooth on the phone and the PC and go through a
procedure called pairing the two devices.
You also need to call AT&T and get a data plan which could cost you up to
$50 per month for unlimited usage. it is not cheap but it works.
