I am trying to connect to the internet from my Dell Axim via my
Motorola v600 GPRS phone using Bluetooth. I successfully created a
partnership between the phone and PDA.
Based on information obtained from Cingular and other internet sources
I tried the following settings on the PDA to connect:
Modem: Bluetooth Dialup

Modem Number to Dial: *99#
Note: I also tried several variations of the *99***N# where N was a
CID. I tried 1,2, and 3.

User Name: [email protected]
Note: I also tried [email protected].

Password: CINGULAR1

Extra dial-string modem commands: +CGDCONT=1,"IP","ISP.CINGULAR".
Note: I tried 1,2, and 3 after the CGDCONT.

When I try to connect both sides "flash lights" for about 15 seconds
and then I get the following error message:
"The answering modem has disconnected".

I have called Cingular and Motorola and received 2 completely
different answers. According to Cingular this can be done and I need
to use the settings I have already tried. They also verified that I
have "Data Connect" service turned on.
According to Motorola this is impossible to do with this phone. I kind
of doubt this based on both what Cingular told me as well as the posts
I have found on the internet that indicate success.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Stewart
