I just purchased a v180 and have it set to vibrate mode. However, whenever
I plug in the AC adapter, it automatically switches to the "loud" setting.
Is there a way to prevent this? I now manually switch it back to vibrate
after I attach the AC cord but I would like to plug it in and forget it.

Some cellphones are designed to work that way, and some aren't.
There are people who ***** that their phone goes to ring mode (after being
set on vibrate or silent) after plugging into the AC adapter/charger. You're
one of those.
There are people who ***** that their phone DOESN'T go to ring mode when the
AC adapter/charger is plugged into the phone. You're not one of those.
I don't know if there are phones that can be set either way by the user, but
as far as I know there aren't.
I guess it's very difficult to please all of the people all of the
time....:-)

Re: v180 volume chang on AC power
Thanks for the reply I guess. I didn't know that I was necessarily
"*****ing" - but rather asking if there was a way to stop my phone from
automatically going into ring mode when I plug in the AC adapter. I don't
know what advantage there is to having it do this but apparently it is
something I have to live with.

I used the term '*****ing' in a very generic sense..:-)
I have had at least one phone that went into ring mode when the charger was
plugged in. Most of the others haven't changed their ring/vibrate settings
when plugged in.
I believe the reasoning for having some phones go into 'ring mode' when
plugged in is that normally, when you have a cell phone plugged into a
charger, it's not on your body, so you might miss a vibrate type ringer,
whereas if it is put into ring mode when plugged in, you'll hear it
ringing..
